Substance designer and substance painter are must have tools in the game dev stack.

Substance by adobe is a complete suite with everything artists need to create 3d digital materials.

I agree with you sd is a great tool but if you want only move sliders without node way of thinking it s enough to use substance player and plugins inside your software in my case modo.
I would like to learn node way of thinking in topic of texture creation.
