So there you have it i am now back to wearing just braces and it feels wonderful.

They re just relatively annoying and i can certainly feel that they re there. After she changed the elastics the surgical hooks were put on which wasn t really painful just a lot of pressure when affixed to the braces.

I have to wear just two bands one on each side and will continue to be banded for the duration of the orthodontia. She put in 10 surgical hooks today which cost sgd 80 in total. So it s like 8 bucks a piece for that tiny metal yeeesh. Surgical hooks seem to be the modern alternative to wiring the jaw shut.
